Those wide birkenstocks are absolutely useless as barefoot shoes. You have to use your toes to keep the shoe on which completely messes up the natural gait emphasis of the shoe.

Barefoot shoes are unfortunately not for everyone. Go to a place that’s able to examine your feet(the way you stand/walk/run/etc) bc I thought I was being healthy but turns out my feet suck and I need arch support lmaoo save your knees and back yall

The Wyde Nilo looks great, but FYI any shoe/sandal should have a strap on the back or something holding the back of your foot. That way your shoe and foot move together. Otherwise, you kind of have to scrunch your toes to keep the shoe on, which messes up your gait and foot mechanics.

You can’t convince me that walking “barefoot” on man made surfaces is a good idea. Barefoot or barefoot shoes are fine options for natural surfaces but our feet didn’t evolve to walk on concrete. That’s why shoes are different now and provide cushion and support, because we walk on non natural surfaces
