i watched this several times and even slowed to 0.5x speed to see exactly what happened when he corrected the dog. His hand was OPEN and he corrected the dog using his palm against the dogs shoulder. He did not use excessive force like a "punch" and the dog instantly corrected his behaviour, which shows his method was effective. He's showing the dog that the behaviour displayed isn't being tolerated without hurting the dog in any way

Yall are way to sensitive. He open hand hit the dog to check him, if another dog was to correct him it would be a lot uglier. With this he’s established dominance and not allowing the bitting behavior to scare him.

Yall he did not punch the dog omg. You can see he opens his hand up a bit before he hits his shoulder. I promise dogs will do much worse to each other. Best method, no, but it’s the one he needed to use in the moment. it’s a quick effective way to communicate to the dog that they need to cut the sh*t while you are actively trying not to get bit. Yes the dog was muzzled but he still turned to bite and lunge, he needed an immediate response. I highly doubt this man is going around punching dogs as a training technique
