Why have there been SO many bears in Dollywood this past year? And Gatlinburg. I feel bad for them but there have never been so many in the park like this before. I’m assuming they’re developing land nearby and the bears have nowhere to go :/

we had a bear all the way on western avenue in knoxville. they’re overdeveloping the land and running the bears out of their homes it’s truly breaking my heart

Before all the people comment about how they’ve destroyed their home. No, the smoky mountains is over 800 sq miles and pigeon forge and gatlinburg combined are not even 26 sq miles. They have plenty of home. Both PF and GBurg provide immense amount support to the locals due to the amount of tourism it gets.

he moved on safely.. took them about 10 min. there are quite a few bears that stay close to DW bc of the park and the cabins close by with access to food.
