@rochellekingandrews: Keeping a mane neat and easy to plait doesn’t need force. Light ends (not thick ones) help plaits: • fold more cleanly • sit flatter • stay consistent • and feel better for the horse For me, grooming is more than presentation — it’s a quiet bonding ritual that builds trust, relaxation, and cooperation long before we ever ride. ⚠️ The full video won’t fit here so please do pop to you tube ! For horses with THICK manes, how do you thin it out? Or is it easier to just chop it shorter? (Thinking for plaiting, don’t want big giant blobs on top of my horses neck 😅). Do you use a thinning comb? Or old fashioned pulling?
