The views are absolutely breathtaking! 🤩 The ride costs 75 riyals per person, so for four of us, it was 300 riyals, roughly 80 dollars. The cable car covers about 1.2 kilometers, taking you through the mountains with stunning views of the city and nature all around. 🏞️ While riding, I couldn’t help but reflect on the history of Taif. This is the same place where the Prophet ﷺ came after leaving Makkah, hoping the people of Taif would accept his message. Instead, the leaders rejected him and sent people to stone him. Injured and bleeding, he rested under a tree. An angel came to him and asked if he wanted Taif destroyed—but he refused. Instead, he prayed, “O Allah, guide them.” Years later, the very city that rejected him accepted Islam, and the Prophet ﷺ and his message were loved. If you’re in Taif, the mountain cable car is a must-try.
