I'm sure that even after so many years she will be his girlfriend and he will love her again and again and one day he will go to the village with the three waterfalls and meet her if she is alive. otherwise he will only go there to imagine their ending which they will never have except in the afterlife (I'm sure it exists because if the upside down and all those creatures exist why not heaven too?)
