I told my husband 1… maybe 2. Because I’m the youngest of 5. He’s the middle of 3. He used to want a football team and now even he’s like yeah 1 is good because he realized not just the cost but emotional implications. But also the physical toll on my body that would take.

Anything more than 2/3 is insane to me as some who grew up with 4 siblings sometimes 5 big families are so toxic to me because there will NEVER be enough love money and attention for each kid someone will always feel like they are lack in one or more departments

I'm the youngest of 5. You'll never convince me people having 4 or more have their children's best interest in mind or are in touch with reality. If ONE kid needs more time or has a talent that takes attention the rest will suffer. The "middle child" stereotypes exist for a reason and it's neglect.

I made this point on someone's post about having a bunch of kids and they told me I was projecting. Bro there's only so much time in a day & each kid has individual needs. everything can't be a group project and just keeping the kids alive and throwing money at them isn't good parenting. how is that projecting?

there were only 5 of us and I practically raised all 4, I'm not interested in kids at all. if I ever decide to have one, he/she will be an only child unless they're a twin
