With this year coming to an end, I am inevitably in my feels. This time last year we had made the decision that we wanted to move out of Florida. I remember celebrating the holidays with a sense of nostalgia for what we knew was going to be our last days in that home. Fast forward, and here we are ending the year in our new home in Missouri, settled in (I say that term loosely😅), and feeling at peace with our decision. The first few months of this year we truly took in new parenthood and kept our life private, but boy were we BUSY. In May, we packed up everything and drove to see our new home for the first time ever. That road trip will forever be burned into my memory. We were so excited. Our excitement lasted briefly, then reality kicked in. Tackling a giant old home in a new state with an infant definitely was an adjustment we had to get used to. Getting sick every week, also a major adjustment. Each room renovation tested us and made us question why we do this to ourselves, but as each room was completed it inevitably reminded us why we love what we do. After all, our favorite part of houses is typically transforming them into spaces we can proudly look at and say “hey, we freaking did that”. 👏 In October, we purchased our first investment home in Missouri that we have been putting all of our free time into renovating and have a VERY exciting interview we are hoping we can share with you all soon! Anyways, all of that to say. We are doing it! Slowly, albeit, but if I look at where we were a year ago to now, it feels like we’re living the exact dream we had been picturing on New Year’s Day. 🥹 Cheers to 2026!
