It’s a positioning problem. Most unpaid UGC creators get stuck because: New creators often build content to attract followers, not brands — which signals influencer marketing, not UGC. Brands look for creators who can sell, not just grow a following. There’s also a major gap in understanding consumer psychology and UGC ad structure. Without knowing how direct response marketing works, content can look good… but might not convert. Another big issue? Copying the content of veteran UGC creators. What experienced creators post now is very different from the content that helped us land our first paid UGC deals — so that strategy doesn’t translate.
