make sure to check for small leaks. a tiny unnoticeable leak in bottom of tub can have devastating consequences

Friendly heads up —older tubs can sometimes contain lead in old coatings, and sanding or friction can release dust. A quick test can be an easy way to be safe. Best of luck with everything!

Not sure if you plan on refinishing the tub, but I highly recommend this brand! This is the same kit I’ve used on a tub in my old house and it held up for years before I moved!

I have reglazed a tub with about $100 of supplies! Make sure to tape well and be ventilated. It’s pretty easy

The time in front of the tub could probably be removed. I bet that is an old standard cast iron tub. Not a claw foot, but like they used in the 60s

Great job! They sell diy tub reglazing kits at Home Depot/Lowes if you want to cover up the scratched surface. But regardless, it looks so much better!
