I tried to like her but her writing pissed me off so bad. She had potential to be a very good written character but of course the author need her 'glorious', favorite and good-for-nothing ML had only the best for his life, she used Layla as a doormat for him instead.

a kind hearted girl indeed with a poor written character she's just so bad presentation of victims irl, solche is disgusting. but it's just so annoying how toxic fans of Lyla is so denial they don't want to face the truth. no one can convince me she's a victim now but I know she was before but because she begged for another child to the man that SA her, I mean who would do that. and some of them keep saying she's trapped to him but they always makes video of her and the duke saying it's cute and it's love when it's not. it's disgusting how they pretend. and telling us that we're delusional when it's clearly them.

I'm reading the first few chapters for the first time and I don't understand why she falls in love with him in the first place and why everyone adores him. The mere fact that he hunted small birds because he felt like it and "it was more difficult" was enough for me to hate him

🤔 It's very well written. In fact, Layla's thinking is more in line with current trends (she doesn't agree with mistresses) and it's the most humane perspective. Layla is proud of her life, her integrity, the values she was raised with, and her efforts to be the best she can be. What's wrong with that?

I think you forgot..solche is the one who made her😭..she is the one who write her character and face...like if she never write....then this video would have never made..solche is like a god to laila, matthias, Claudia, kyle, and every characters in this manhwa..so why dont we respect her..the way she made her story? we are just a reader..if we like tham..it's ok...if you like only one character..its ok....and make video about tham..its ok..and even if you hate everyone in this novel..it's perfectly fine too..you can avoid it...and if you dont wanna avoid it..it's all on you..but don't blame the author...just say you hate matthias and everyone it's ok...and saying you like laila but didn't like her character..then there is a reason behind it..because author make her character perfectly how a normal people is in 19 century..when we read this story..we first have to remember..it's around 19th century times...and that time and now is very different..and laila was traumatised..and a traumatised person always behaved like this..now whenever people traumatised...they get help from therapy and gor heal because we have millions of way to survive in this world....but that time..they think it's nothing..but the way of life and its hard to stay alive.....like how laila behaved..and most sad part..laila didn't know she was traumatised. and that's small detail is a big thing in this story which many people don't understand..I hope you will get it someday..
