I love Henry so much and I'm so glad people are starting to understand. the black thing is not Henry and it never was. it's the mind flayer. I'm not sure if you've watched the play but it opened my eyes a lot to Henry's character and I genuinely love the way he's written. he's been trapped for so long. Even though he says that he chose it that's most likely because he never had a support system growing up and I mean his whole family hated him for his powers and the mind flayers lies and manipulation truly had already gotten to him and he had been let down so much that he probably when finally had a chance to have a support system pushed it away out of fear. I truly believe he genuinely felt he had no choice. Henry was never the TRUE villain and that's the truth. I love Henry so much 🫶
