If we worshiped the earth, we’d take better care of it.

lack of worshipping the earth is why we're in the position we're in on the earth.

I’m an atheist and I’d get behind worshipping the Earth before worshiping a deity outside of nature 🌚 we’re all alone in this vast empty space, but our Earth fosters life for us. Thank you, nature!

when I tell people I have a complex relationship with god this is EXACTLYYY what I mean. God is earth, God is the cosmos. god is the sun and the grass and the animals and my mom and God is me.

Mother Earth literally gives birth to us all.. and all of our food and water! The Sun also.. it gives us life. Worshipping Mother Earth and Father Sun makes more sense than anything else.

As a Native person living on my homelands, I can pick the plants and pray to parts of the land that carries the stories, history and connections. I wonder if thats why some pick religion, as it's not tied to the land.or what they use to replace connection to land.

Saw someone saying “we’re not defending nature, we’re nature defending itself” and that is so obviously true but my background context made me disconnected from that idea

Yes, but the Earth doesn’t need to be worshiped… It needs to be stewarded. Patriarchal conditioning has us believing something has to be worshiped in order for it to be sacred.
