Louisiana just required all policies to include Uninsured Motorist coverage. You can’t waive it at all anymore

If this happens , the mother or whoever excluded the driver should have the judgment against them and not be allowed to drive or insure another vehicle until it’s paid. I bet a lot less people would do this.

And people get no consequences for their actions and so they continue to ride the merry-go-round. these people should be charged criminally when they do things like this. I know in my state you are not required to have insurance, but If you live in a state that does require it, you should be criminally charged for driving without it and causing an accident

I HATE when parents try and exclude their licensed 16-18 year olds. You know DAMN well they are going to let their kids drive, or they’ll take the car anyways. ALWAYS carry UM. It’s so worth it. As a consumer myself, I’ve had to use UM BI for an accident a few years back.
