I hate the phrase "boys will be boys" in general. We don't say things are one gender or another at my house. We would say "kids will be kids". There are no "boy things" or "girl things".

Right when I say boys will be boys I mean my son will dig In the mud, he will climb the tree, he will find the sharpest rock on the shore to scale, he will jump in every puddle, he will rip a whole in the knee of every pants he owns he will scuff his brand new shoes riding his scooter and he will most definitely chip his adult tooth trying to jump a curb on his mountain bike!
