The problem is taking the moral high ground, if your intention is actually to bully. ‘Not all men but always men’ I know, men suck sometimes. And many female influencers are often leading these conversations online and building their very own internet-corners where they share their unpleasant, even cringeworthy experiences with men. And there is a reason why content targeted against males is actually picking up. There are lots of men who do very creepy and inappropriate things to women. There are men who just cannot and do not know how to talk to women. There are also men who are creeps and do extremely cringeworthy things. While nothing should undermine those serious concerns, I find that this topic often marginalises certain men. It also has a very toxic after-taste, as it is often spoken with a kind if ignorance and feeling of superiority which is exactly the same kind of behaviour that they are preaching against. And often, this content just originated from females being disappointed because a man walked away from them. There is zero self-reflection. It’s very unhealthy to process your disappointment in a man by publishing content that rants and just targets all men.
