@roohijeelani0: If there is anything my patients would say about me is that I'm probably the last one in the room to say it's time to stop treatment. It's definitely not that I don't believe in science or data. I'm actually a NIH WRHR scholar! (Basically was awarded an NIH grant for reproductive research). So l get the data and I understand the science. But fertility is probably the only part of medicine that's not a 100% guaranteed or predictable. Sure there are probabilities and algorithms but you know what? Have you ever felt what it feels like when someone else tells you there is nothing "proven" that can help? That they are unwilling to try because the data doesn't support it? It's the loneliest and darkest place in the world when others give up on you and your body. I have been there. I was told to move on, find other ways to build your family (and there is nothing wrong with that) but I needed for me to exhaust all my options. I'm so glad I did, and kept pushing.
