If you bought it within the last 30 days you have a legal right to a full refund from the RETAILER you bought it from if it’s faulty!

Apple is a pain, you have to ship it off or take it directly to them. the repair retailer people can't do it, a high street shop cant

Pay by credit card. If the seller won’t assume their legal responsibilities for faulty goods, call the card company and do a chargeback. Problem solved.

Stand up for your statutory rights. If your item is faulty they have to refund or offer an exchange. Take it back to the shop where you bought it from and say, my contract is with you and not Apple. Apple are the manufacturers. This happened to me years. Shop don’t like that people know this.
