Ate snow cream twice as a southerner. Both times we let it snow IN THE BOWL while we kept an eye on it. You didn't scoop snow off the ground cuz of possible contamination risks. It's best if you just use sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Don't knock it til you try it, but also yeah it's a little weird.
