You must inform IRCC within 30 days In all cases, if you get married after submitting your PR application, you are legally required to notify IRCC within 30 days of the marriage. • You must submit a webform update • A copy of the marriage certificate should be included If you were married in Canada and the marriage certificate is not yet issued, you must still inform IRCC that the marriage has taken place. The certificate can be submitted later once available. ⸻ 2. Express Entry applications If your PR application was submitted through Express Entry and you already received your AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt): • Your CRS score will NOT be reassessed • Your CRS score will not decrease because you got married • The score is considered locked in after AOR However, your spouse must still be declared, examined (medical, background), and added to your file if they are accompanying. ⸻ 3.
