So why does it make it easier for future assault and how do we change it? My take from this, and I fully admit I may be wrong, is that the rest of us Men have an obligation to undo this. The question becomes HOW we do that. There was a time where a dude walking up to an abuser and pushing him repeatedly in the dome would have been ignored at a minimum and lauded at its best. Today, that hero goes to jail and the abuser goes free. So, to a lesser degree, I feel like good, decent people who would intercede are equally restricted from helping resolve the situation.

Both genders have things that they're not held to a standard for. Simply look at child support and not having to prove who the biological father is. All i'm simply saying is there's a lot of ways that both men and women are not held to a proper standard.
