Maybe yes the aftermarket also produce for oem but it’s not always the same quality. Oftenly the same manufacturers using better quality for oem stuff.

“OEM” part is partly a myth, the dealers add their own stamp onto an existing part such as MANN or Mahle, the Mercedes “OEM” oil even states engineered by Fuchs, not even denying it lol

I serviced my Audi A6 for years using Mann filter instead of Audi parts. the ONLY difference between the two parts was the Audi parts had a tiny Audi logo next to the Mann logo. I saved hundreds over the years.

You have better guarantee with Main Dealer especially water pumps etc, AND a lot of OEM parts are copies.
