Nope. I put them in a pan of water, bring it to a boil, turn off the unit and let sit for 15 minutes then rinse with cold water. Perfect every time. Peeling really depends on if they’re fresh or old eggs imo.

I tried it and yes, it made the best hard boiled eggs ! The eggs peeled easily & the yoke was a perfect yellow color. This will be my new way of making them ! 🐣

I have an easier way. Put the eggs in a pot cover them with water. Bring them to rolling boil for three minutes.. turn off the heat cover them for 10 minutes. And it will be a hard boiled egg for a soft boiled egg do the same thing but only for five minutes.

Works great for me! Do they peel as easy if you don’t peel right away? I keep boiled eggs in fridge for snacks.

I tap with spoon, put eggs im cold water. bring to boil for 5 mins. turn off heat for 10. pour out water, shake eggs to Crack shells, add cold water to pan and set at least 5 mins or until I want to peel. Shells slide off.

I do cold water place eggs in water bring to boil 10 minutes, shut cover for 5 take out run under cold water

I boil my eggs for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame. And let them sit until they cool off. And then I put them in the. Refrigerator and thay always peel real easy.And I use older eggs I've been doing this for over sixty years.

I do it a little different. bring water to a boil. gently put 6 eggs in boiling water. set timer for 12 minutes. Then pour boiling water in sink.and just cover eggs with cold water, then fill pot with ice .let them sit in the ice bath for 30 mntes ( or more if you want.) thats it. eggs peel perfectly.
