First one would allow the art to be cleaner and easier to see the piece overall, the second one gives you uniqueness. But, from seeing some certain pieces with lines like the second one that have more complex designs, the first one is better from the eyes of the commissioner

genuinely to me it depends on the coloring that's gonna go with it like if you're doing something bright and bold I like the first one but if it's something more plain/neutral colored I like the second one. if you're equally skilled in both styles, you could offer both as options in your examples and have customers request one or the other

Depends 🤔 -If I'm drawing the art myself, definitely the first one, I like consistent and sharp lines and struggle with the softer ones -If I'm commissioning someone, the second one, the vibe is nice and it looks good on most artstyles (just not mine lol)

I prefer the second one because it has better line weight and makes it more dynamic. You can totally have a smooth brush with line weight though, which is what I prefer and use for my own art

i prefer the second one personally! also on a different note HOW do you draw anthro big cats that well, it's so gorgeous and i have a lioness oc that i can't seem to draw the face of correctly 🥹

As an artist I do like the line weight on the second option. One of my personal pet peeves with brushes is when they’re so nice looking (like the second) but you have to go over it too many times because the opacity is too low at the end, that could get bothersome for you?
