I don’t understand the anti-vax movement with all of the medical knowledge out there. We vaccinated fully; however, out of an abundance of caution, we just did one vaccine per visit and would return multiple times if needed for nurse visits but still got it done…

As a mom who chose to vaccinate per the schedule… I love this information out there. But man I’d be lying if I said this vaccine, the MMR vaccine scares me the most because of the claimed link to autism… have you made an informed clip about that?

I vaccine all my kids, we had a nightmare and dam near lost our daughter at two because she was exposed to someone who didn’t. She spent three weeks in icu.

so i do have a question, and it’s genuine. do pediatricians factor in children born with the MTHFR genetic mutation? what is the safe option for those children, because it is extremely detrimental to their health to introduce the recommended 🧁 schedule. i’m just curious how we can 🧁 our children who suffer from this, safely

@Alexa.Dawn: I hope you see this. I finally just had twins after a very long infertility journey and 2 ivf rounds. I plan on vaccinating but I am terrified (which I feel like is easy to be with everything you hear and read out there anymore). We even just had a 2 week NICU stay and now I’m absolutely terrified of everything. I saw it’s 6 vaccines at the 2 months appt? Is this true, is it okay or is it also acceptable to spread them out and do them delayed?

The population that will suffer the most from the antivax movement will be children of lower socioeconomic status; those with families who have fewer resources and less access to care. People think vaccination is a decision that only affects them (as you said) but really when you don’t vaccinate, you’re deepening health inequities. And it’s incredibly sad, I hope altruism makes a comeback soon.

Thank you for bringing awareness. I live in upstate SC, where measles is going crazy right now. I don’t hold immunity to MMR for some reason, even after vaccines, and I am 37 weeks pregnant. It’s very dangerous to my unborn baby and people don’t seem to care!

I remember having measles as a child in the 1970s (50 years ago and I still remember). I was sooo sick. Having my 3 kids, major abdominal surgery and a ball fall from a horse all pale into insignificance beside measles 🥺

If I haven’t had that vaccine since im assuming when I was a child, do I need to get it redone? I haven’t had any shots in years no one ever told me go get them done so I haven’t 😭 but I don’t wanna be someone who makes things worse for me or others

well said! as a canadian I currently will not travel to the states as the crazy drop in vaccination rates terrifies me. I am also so sad to see those mind sets are making their way up here to the North and we have also lost our measles eradication status. its so scary and sad when adults won't do the research for themselves and stick their ignorant heads in the sand to follow blindly. thanks for all you do to educate!
