Be gentle with yourself and let the grief come in waves. This type of love doesn’t disappear without leaving an ache. With the boys, I truly believe it’s okay and important for them to see your tears and your vulnerability. Showing them that you’re sad teaches them that love means feeling things fully, and that grief is something we move through together, not something we hide from. Talk about Picca often, share stories, let them ask questions, and remind them that it’s okay to miss her as much as they do. ♥️

Let them say goodbye to your fur baby before you go to the vet. Make paw prints or have the vet make paw prints in clay (then bake) so they each have one to remember your baby by. When we put our kitty down we did paw print and a small snippet of her fur to remember her always. I’m so sorry you’re losing your fur baby, it’s not fair that they don’t live as long as us💔
