I had one for medical. I said I need a copy of the original bill. They said sure please sign a waiver for HIPPA. I said no thanks. I never got a call or any mail again. 😂😂😂

I just got sued by debt collector and they never validated the debt or provided the original documents. I was awarded $800 for attorney fees.

Never agree or accept it especially from collections, if a collection agency has it they already paid it to original debtor, it's not yours anymore

If you have a debt collector trying to get you to pay a previous hospital bill.. ask for the itemization. Usually, once you do.. they drop it. But either way… didnt the office that send it to collections violate your HIPPA rights by selling your debt to someone…..?

Yup! All of this! AND I recommend everyone read up on FDCLA aka Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. A looooot of debt collectors violate this act because they don’t think you know about it. For example, You email, “Please stop calling me. Communicate by email only,” and they continue calling anyway, YOU CAN SUE THEM ! Even them sending it to the wrong address could be “improper notice” you just gotta find all the mistakes they’re making because I guarantee THEY ARE!
