Based of price of Gold and inflation we are working for 1/3 of our wage. I am working 20$ an hour now which is equal to 7$ before Covid. I used to make 15$ an hour in 2019 and could afford my own place, food and still had enough to save. Now has to live either with my parents or roommate

im a millenial. i worked and saved up every penny to take the next year completely off to do nothing. simply because, i have no desire to work when everything costs so much. and its much worse than we think. even $500 in rent is too high! those couple of dollars for coffee? thats too expensive! people dont seem to realize the american dollar is practically worthless right now. its really bad.

And side note, I used to live in NC and moved back to CA it’s expensive, but the pay is higher and the people are very much in line with these ideas.

Nobody even wants to live in this hell called earth anymore. Everything and everyone is toxic. Life has become a garbage nowadays. When I don't work, I choose to go to gym or sit and read a book. Inner peace is the most important thing. Even friendship is not the same as it used to be once.

housing market will NEVERRRR come down. wage we can protest but, housing- imagine the food industry, mcdonalds, dishwashers, servers, table utencil folding, driving to the restaurants. imagine that depth but replaced with houses/trailers/town homes/apts etc. the housing market is a multi trillion dollar industry there is NOTHING you or i can ever do (except riot) but no one is prepared to riot

I’m 46 and my grandparents were able to buy a house , car, raise five kids and afford a lake cottage on lake front property on a a Union job. My grandma only started working after my grandfather passed in the mid 70’s.
