@a.way.to.a.fresh.start: Meet Eric. Eric is 31 years old and was born in New Jersey. When I first met him, I told him I would go around the drive-through, but then I thought about how cold it’s been outside and realized he might want to come inside where it was much warmer. Eric came to Jacksonville four years ago to get clean. He was in a relationship that didn’t work out, and he left behind the home he shared with his girlfriend. Since then, he and his dog have been homeless, living in his truck. Eric works in construction as an equipment operator. Like many others, life happened — and sometimes men fall on hard times too. If you know of any work in the Jacksonville area, or know someone who could help point him in the right direction for construction work, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Sometimes people just need a little bit of help, and you’d be surprised at the difference it can make in someone’s life. Everyone is deserving of A Way to a Fresh Start.
