China, in period where they actually took people out of poverty, is economically probably the most capitalistic country that ever existed. Before their switch to extreme capitalism, they spent 30 years in communist deep dive. Then one smart guy said "It doesnt matter if cat is black or white as long it catches mice", which signals a period where rulling class in China has said "We will have extremelly capitalists economy, but will continue calling our party communist". The rest is history, in next 4 decades practicing extreme capitalism they've made one of biggest advances known to man.

Their whole argument is based on a false premise. Capitalism only lifts a certain few out of poverty, at expense of the rest. Capitalism is per definition the funneling of resources to the rich from the poor, and the difference between the rich and poor is the highest it's ever been throughout history.
