@michaelikennaarinze: most Fujifilm users leave this on auto or DR 400 and wonder why their photos look flat. Dynamic range is a tool not a quality upgrade. Save this – you’ll forget it when you need it most. #photographytips #filmsimulation #x100vi #x100v #fujifilm
So in an overcast setting such as PNW, what would you recommend?

So DR400 would save me from blown out skies? Slide 5, top left vs bottom right?

Fer Cortes 📷 :
Just leave it on DR100 and learn to adjust exposure to protect your highlights. For me it’s much easier than having to remember to reset the DR value.

These settings only apply to JPG. If you’re shooting raw you’ll get the full dynamic range every time, it’s just up to you to make it visible or not during post.

Is this the reason why my ISO is stuck at 1600? I have to manually adjust it every time on Fuji xe5. Or maybe i just dont know the settings
