Im doing it for both parents, financially and physically plus I need to see to my own home and their home. My brother's dont even help me but because im the female and the youngest I carry it all for the past 15yrs many days im just living because I have to.

It’s even more difficult when the parent was emotionally volatile and abusive and you were already the parent since you were a kid. I imagine if you had the deep bond and love with your parents it can come from you a lot more genuinely. But in this way it’s only duty.

Looked after my mum for 5yrs until she recently passed away in hospital 06/08/25 Im so lost without her even though it was tiring, her empty chair breaks my heart every time I see it.💔💔💔🤲🤲

i have been taking care of both of my parents until their last breath. my dad who had dementia passed at aged 91, march 2024 and mom at aged 81, passed august 2025. if ever i had been given another chance again, i will definitely do it again because i love them dearly and what i did, can't never repay their kindness until i die.. may Allah bless their soul and place them among the righteous, Allahumma Aamiin 🤲🏽❤️

Alhumdulillah, I cared for my folks from a very young age. My mother closed her eyes for the last time in my arms and I was the only one my father recognised in the end. May Allah swt grant my parents Jannat ul Firdous Inshallah.

i did it for my mother n brother who both passed. my sister also did her bit. But the rest of the family sat back….. In Allah we trust 🙏💕

this is so so true ,and I'm an only child I ask my Rabb daily for Sabar ..when I was younger I was tolerant.Even with my love being deep.
