The head shot after the robber was down was excessive force! When he got the robbers gun then fired the head shot he committed murder!

there's only one part that makes this man a hero which is using his second amendment right to help protect those who are in that restaurant. Once he shot and was able to take control of the burglar and retrieve the weapon, why did he shoot him in the head? You're telling me that's a hero? How is that Justice? then getting upset and fleeing the location is really odd if he felt that he was doing the right thing why would he suspect that he was going to get some kind of jail time? why leave?
