@deadhost.exe: On June 30, 2018, 44 year old Dawn Sturgess was at her partner's home in Amesbury, England, when he presented her with a gift he had found in a Salisbury charity bin. It was a sealed box of Nina Ricci Premier Jour perfume. Dawn sprayed the oily substance onto her wrists and rubbed them together. Within fifteen minutes, she was foaming at the mouth and suffering a catastrophic cardiac arrest. She died on July 8, 2018, at Salisbury District Hospital.  Investigation revealed the bottle was not perfume but a highly concentrated Soviet era nerve agent called Novichok. It had been discarded by Russian GRU agents after a failed assassination attempt on former spy Sergei Skripal just months earlier. The small glass bottle contained enough military grade poison to kill thousands of people.  In December 2025, a landmark public inquiry concluded that the attack was authorized at the highest levels of the Russian government. The inquiry found that Vladimir Putin bears moral responsibility for the reckless disposal of the chemical weapon that took an innocent woman's life. The suspects, using the aliases Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, remain at large in Russia.

What is terrifying about Novichok is that if you were to put it on a surface and it was left there undisturbed for decades and then someone happened to touch it after all that time , it wouldn’t of degraded, it remains stable and would be just as deadly as if it had been placed there that day.
