I think they might’ve already sensed that she meant no harm in locking them up, and is very regretful of it. But yk she still locked them up. To get it out of the way: Viserion is likely the one to be more forgiving than Rhaegal due to their personalities, but the strain would still be there and need tending to. When Quentyn comes down to claim Viserion after Dany flew off with Drogon, the text made it clear that Vis was looking for her mother and wanted her—only to see that she wasn’t there and it was instead a different woman. It’s likely that the only reason why neither Viserion or Rhaegal attacks the group on sight is 1. Viserion is docile compared to her brothers, and again was looking for her mama upon sensing that there was a female in the bunch. 2. Quentyn was there, who both Rhaegal and Viserion seen before with their mother. And because Dany showed him affection and seemed to trust him, they by extension trusted (or at the least, tolerated) him as well. The two probably expected Quentyn to come with their mother as he did the last time they saw him, or free them so that they could go to their mother. It was only when he started whipping Viserion did they (just Rhaegal) start attacking. Still; Viserion did not move to attack Quentyn even as he started attacking her, so it seems to me that she was willing to endure to see her mother. Obviously Rhaegal, as aggressive as he is and possibly not tolerating Quentyn as much, burns him for whipping his sister. It’s about 12AM as I’m typing this comment so there might be some mistakes, but overall I think that the two will very much express a form of disdain or dislike for how Dany locked them up and visited them like, once, but they won’t entirely hate her because they missed their mother.
