If there was not a magical bond; yes. But their entire existence comes from magic Danny conjures. You are right that the bond is different and likely override everything else.

They were so tiny compared to Drogon because they were locked up.

Dany’s bond with her dragons is obviously special in the sense she’s their Mother, not their Master. I do think it’s possible Viserion and Rhaegal will resent her for locking them up, but I think Viserion at least would forgive her for it. Rhaegal on the other hand might harbour some resentment…

Do you think her dragon(s) actually did kill that small child or were they framed by someone who wanted the dragons locked up?

and people are obsessed with dany going mad 😭 she’s almost the only one who practically analyses everything she does and everything she thinks from an ethical and moral standpoint, my poor girl needs to trust herself more

I always felt bad for them both, especially because in the show it’s Drogon that eats an innocent child and not them

I think they might’ve already sensed that she meant no harm in locking them up, and is very regretful of it. But yk she still locked them up. To get it out of the way: Viserion is likely the one to be more forgiving than Rhaegal due to their personalities, but the strain would still be there and need tending to. When Quentyn comes down to claim Viserion after Dany flew off with Drogon, the text made it clear that Vis was looking for her mother and wanted her—only to see that she wasn’t there and it was instead a different woman. It’s likely that the only reason why neither Viserion or Rhaegal attacks the group on sight is 1. Viserion is docile compared to her brothers, and again was looking for her mama upon sensing that there was a female in the bunch. 2. Quentyn was there, who both Rhaegal and Viserion seen before with their mother. And because Dany showed him affection and seemed to trust him, they by extension trusted (or at the least, tolerated) him as well. The two probably expected Quentyn to come with their mother as he did the last time they saw him, or free them so that they could go to their mother. It was only when he started whipping Viserion did they (just Rhaegal) start attacking. Still; Viserion did not move to attack Quentyn even as he started attacking her, so it seems to me that she was willing to endure to see her mother. Obviously Rhaegal, as aggressive as he is and possibly not tolerating Quentyn as much, burns him for whipping his sister. It’s about 12AM as I’m typing this comment so there might be some mistakes, but overall I think that the two will very much express a form of disdain or dislike for how Dany locked them up and visited them like, once, but they won’t entirely hate her because they missed their mother.

I think they’ll be similar to real life teens. They’ll be upset with her, and there’ll be a need for some healing, but ultimately they will always be her babies, and she will always be their mom.

If they rebel maybe drogon can put them in their places, btw magic is powerful enough to keep them from holding a grudge

Considering Drogon had come back for her, how he saved her in return for saving him when he too was attempted to be locked away, I think the dragons will forgive her. Viserion will do it instantly but Rhaegal might need some time. But I think they’ll all forgive her.

Why didn’t you bring up anything from after they get out? We know Viserion makes a nest atop one of the great pyramids. Iirc Rhaegal is catching bodies as the mercs outside Meereen are trying to check them into the city. The two dragons are roosting in the city like they expect Dany to come back, unlike Drogon who roamed all around the area.

How come she only rode Drogon? Don't you think her other dragons felt since type of way about that?

I think in the books she’ll eventually free them. She’s locking them up not just because she’s worried about what harm they can do, but because she’s worried about how it would be perceived by the people she’s trying to rule. Drogon is different as he is the one who bonded to her most (although in the books Daenerys and Viserion have a particular close bond) I am really hoping that the fate of the dragons is far different in the books. As both Viserion and Rhaegals deaths were hard to watch.

Can you talk about where the books end vs. the show? I heard the books aren’t done so the show just killed her in the end but that might not be the books endings?
