This has been the worst year of my life 💔💔😭😭 My brother was murdered in August and just yesterday my son was diagnosed with Autism 💔💔😭😭 Now everything makes sense as to why he is 3 years old and unable to speak and certain behaviors that we could not understand at home. He's going to begin therapy in November. I'm so shattered 💔💔 I know nothing about Autism. I need to begin reading and learning about it so I can understand my child and certain behaviors and how I need to teach him. If anyone has an Austistic child, I would appreciate any pointers as to what I can do. I know the hospital will also teach me on what to do. I regret not taking him to a specialist earlier. We just like to trust elders when they tell us no he's OK. Be patient. He will talk. He's just a little delayed. Guys if you see something a bit odd with your child, take them for evaluation. Don't wait. As sad as I am, I'm very hopeful because my son is so smart, so intelligent. He hears and understands and most importantly is that I trust God with every aspect of my life especially when it comes to my child that God will make it alright and he will be fine. Yes he may be slower to grasp certain things and understand, he may be in his own world in his head but God will be there and I will be there every step of the way♥️❤️. The last thing the doctor said to me was, Autism is not a disability, it's a different Ability.
