for me the hardest part of co parenting was when I saw my little girl walk down the road with their dads new gf. my soul left my body. then I sat back and thought god this must be how he feels seeing my partner with my son i have with him. its a weird thing co parenting and a constant journey xx

I’d love to say it gets easier… but a decade in, it doesn’t, for me anyway. But as you say, you find the distractions you need to make it through that time. I had a very quiet 4 days without either of them, and I’ll be honest, although I was decorating, I felt like I was missing so much - the noise, the empty snack cupboard, the demands. 😂

Yep, 12 years in and it's still uncomfortable! I'm married and we have a lovely time but I'm never settled until my son comes back from his dads.

It’s so true. I am nothing without him. My entire drive comes from doing whatever I can to make his life as good as possible. He is the reason for my existence. But it is so nice to have some time to myself.

I moved out of my mums house a year ago after being raised by her as a single parent. We spent Christmas Eve in mine and my boyfriend’s home and it was the coziest feeling ever. And on Boxing Day when I had an incredible stressful day, we still snuggled on the sofa (I’m 27!) snd she kissed me on the forehead and told me she was proud of me. That was the greatest feeling. If you’re reading this Elle, I just want you to know, she will forever be grateful and will always want to come home to you because that’s how I feel❤️
