Probably worth mentioning that Brandi Carlile sings background vocals for many of the tracks on TENH. Also, the Colorado Symphony album is the only place to find his recording of Liars, which is top tier.

The Trapeze Swinger is a beautiful cover that he performs live, often as an encore song for his more stripped down concerts. The original artist who the song belongs to is Iron and Wine (released in 2005).

I love this! one quick note though, there are two songs called Salt and the Sea that he has. The version with the lyrics you quoted is not in That Sea, The Gambler- it is a cover of Salt and the Sea by The Lumineers, which was released after Isakov put out That Sea the Gambler. The version of Salt and the Sea on the album is different. However, I do like how hos cover of the Lumineers song has lyrics that fit the theme of the album!

I saw him at Red Rocks with my now ex-fiancé. After the rapturous show, he just didn’t get the appeal. This was one of the moments that made me understand that my ex didn’t understand me. I hope someday to come back to Red Rocks and have a redemption Gregory Alan Isakov concert to erase that sore memory.
