Today, we honor Deputy Katherine Ann Frank of the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota and Officer Shane Seiber of the Philadelphia Police Department in Pennsylvania—two law enforcement officers whose lives ended while serving their communities. 🕊️ DEPUTY KATHERINE ANN FRANK — AGE 26 End of Watch: October 12, 2026 Katherine began working at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in September 2022 before joining the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office in June 2024. On October 9, 2026, she was critically wounded during a shooting while deputies were responding to a call at a Sioux Falls home. She died three days later, surrounded by family and loved ones. Her department remembered her dedication, humility, and care for the people she served. In a final act of generosity, Katherine became an organ donor—continuing to help others even after her passing. Her life was far too short, but her service deserves lasting remembrance. 🕊️ OFFICER SHANE SEIBER — AGE 40 End of Watch: October 10, 2026 Shane was an Air Force veteran and a ten-year member of the Philadelphia Police Department. He had also recently completed SWAT training, continuing his commitment to serving and protecting others. Early on October 10, Shane and his partner responded to a report of an armed man in West Philadelphia. Both officers were shot. Shane died at the hospital, where his wife and family were able to be with him. He leaves behind his wife, a seven-year-old son, and a three-year-old daughter. Pennsylvania ordered flags lowered in his honor—a public tribute to an officer whose loss is deeply personal to his family, fellow officers, and community. Behind these uniforms were people with loved ones, hopes, and futures. As we remember Katherine and Shane, we also hold their families, friends, colleagues, and the wounded officer in our thoughts. Forever honored. Never forgotten. May they rest in peace. 🕯️ #KatherineFrank #ShaneSeiber #FallenOfficers #EndOfWatch #NeverForgotten
