@mind.psy.guidance: Extra tips for the “I am ____” statements👇🏼 When you write “I am someone who confidently speaks my mind” or “I am a person who sets boundaries” or “I am a woman who prioritizes rest because I know that makes me more productive and successful..” If these statements feel too far away from embodiment for you, it can feel like lying to yourself. And if you don’t embody them but you continue to say them as affirmations, it can actually work again you losing trust with yourself. Here’s what to do instead: Put “what if” instead of “I am”.. so “what if I was a person who set boundaries..” this approach allows you to role play as the person who would do that or at least open your mind to the possibility that this could be you. Instead of announcing something that doesn’t feel true yet, you can approach it with curiosity until it feels more and more like solid ground you can stand on. If you’d like to learn the system I’ve used for the last 10+ years that has helped me regulate my nervous system, bring my holistic health into balance, and rewire my brain so I can be a person I love being (and who accomplishes the goals she sets).. comment the word “ROUTINE” below.
