For the next week, they behaved perfectly. Which was precisely the problem. No arguments. No lingering looks. No accidental touches. No midnight conversations. Nothing. They were polite. Civil. Almost strangers. And somehow, it was worse than fighting. Lena discovered that she could tolerate Miu being irritating. She could tolerate Miu laughing too loudly. She could tolerate her ridiculous confidence. What she couldn’t tolerate was not knowing where she was. And Miu discovered something equally humiliating. She missed being annoyed by Lena. She missed their arguments. She missed the way Lena’s eyes narrowed whenever Miu deliberately pushed her buttons. Most of all, she missed the possibility that Lena might look at her again the way she had on that balcony. So when they ended up alone in the same hallway after another late-night event, neither of them was particularly surprised. Miu leaned against the wall. “You’ve been avoiding me.” Lena stopped. “I’ve been busy.” “You’re always busy.” “Then there’s your answer.” Miu laughed. “You’re terrible at lying.” “So I’ve heard.” Silence. Miu looked at her. “You haven’t looked at me all night.” “I have.” “Not properly.” Lena’s eyes finally met hers. Miu immediately wished she’d kept her mouth shut. There it was. That look. The one that made her forget every reason she was supposed to stay away. Miu swallowed. “You keep doing that.” “Doing what?” “Looking at me like that.” “Like what?” Miu pushed away from the wall. “Like you want to kiss me.” Lena’s expression didn’t change. “Maybe I do.” Miu’s heart stumbled. “Then why don’t you?” Lena took one step closer. “Because you told me we shouldn’t.” “I did.” “Then tell me again.” Miu opened her mouth. Nothing came out. Lena stepped closer. “Go ahead.” Miu looked at her lips. Then back into her eyes. “I can’t.” Lena’s voice softened. “Why?” “Because I don’t want to.” That was all it took. Lena kissed her. This time there was no surprise. No anger to hide behind. No accident. Miu immediately kissed her back, hands settling against Lena’s shoulders as they forgot every rule they’d tried to create. When they separated, neither moved far. Miu was smiling. Lena wasn’t. “Don’t.” “Don’t what?” “Look so pleased with yourself.” “You kissed me too.” “I know.” “And you wanted to.” Lena sighed. “Unfortunately.” Miu laughed softly. Then the smile faded. She studied Lena’s face. “Do you still hate me?” Lena hesitated. Just long enough for Miu to notice. “Yes.” Miu smiled. “Good.” She stepped closer again. “I hate you too.” Lena raised an eyebrow. “Really?” “Absolutely.” “Then why are you still standing here?” Miu’s smile widened. “Maybe I haven’t figured out how to leave.” Lena laughed. A genuine laugh. The sound surprised them both. Miu stared at her. “I’ve never heard you laugh like that.” “Don’t get used to it.” “Too late.” They stood there quietly. No arguing. No pretending. Just the strange realization that the person they claimed to hate had somehow become the person they wanted beside them. Miu reached for Lena’s hand. Their fingers intertwined. Neither commented on it. Neither let go. Finally, Miu whispered: “So what are we?” Lena looked down at their joined hands. “I don’t know.” Miu nodded. “Me neither.” A pause. “But we’re something.” Lena looked at her. “Yeah.” Miu smiled. “Something dangerous.” “Definitely.” “And probably a terrible idea.” “Absolutely.” Miu leaned closer. “Good.” Lena smiled. “Good.” And neither of them said the word love. Not yet. They didn’t have to. Because sometimes the most dangerous part of falling for someone wasn’t admitting it. It was realizing… you had already fallen. . . The End🫣🤭( thnx for reading n not judging 🤭😂) #lenamiu #thaigl #fanfic #fypp #lenamiu🧸🦋🤍
