I usually agree with you but I will say Maduro is undeniably authoritarian, but that also doesn’t take away from the corruption going on in our respective government as well which is what I think a lot of people are missing. Maduro’s regime isn’t healthy for Venezuelans and has been allowing Iranian and Russian agents to live off the natural wealth of the land unrightfully so while natives have to steal. With this being said, I do think it’s much worse with someone so corrupt like our president putting his hand into this whole mess, just for the sake of cash. Trump couldn’t give less of a damn whether or not the Venezuelan people live or die, he is in it for the cash which is another thing that more people are missing!

I feel politically aligned with your views normally, the current US president is also definitely authoritarian but I’m Venezuelan and can’t help but have a hard time with the democrats reporting on this. Hard times will come in Venezuela due to this invasion, but we still feel that its worth it bc we cant imagine anything worse than what we had already been living. Even though the motivations are in no way pure, is there any value to the entire Venezuelan population supporting this? Would love your perspective
