@mostlyjenvibes: Showers used to be routine. Now they’re unpredictable. This was my first major POTS episode, and it happened in the shower. The dizziness, vision loss, tingling, racing heart… and the emotional crash afterward. Sharing this for anyone who’s silently dealing with chronic illness and wondering if they’re alone. 🤍 POTS symptoms, POTS shower episode, dysautonomia life, chronic illness reality, POTS awareness, fainting in shower, heart rate spike POTS, invisible illness, chronic illness mom, nervous system disorder, spoonie life, real life with POTS #pots #chronicillness #dysautonomia #invisibleillness #youarenotalone

I am 14 and have POTS and i will tell u it is more hot showers that trigger it, so towards the end of my shower i will put it to lukewarm, cold water to regulate my body temperature that it was before i got in

It’s the reason I got a shower chair and handheld shower head. Showers always triggered it. The hot/warm water causes blood pooling which leads your heart to pump faster (trying to bring blood back to where it should be)
