Torque specs are for when a vehicle is being built in a plant! Dirt/rust on threads, mounting surfaces, etc make it so you reach torque MUCH sooner than you should.

I dont blame you for not replacing it. Bmw repair instructions want you to replace it. It’s just what they want. I never had a problem re-using them either tho

Torque wrench on the lugs is by far the most important other main bearing/rods nuts.
