The words I’m sorry you’re probably sick of hearing. But this is the 1st time you’ve came across my fyp. I can’t imagine what you’ve gone through. I watched my mother go through it after my brother passed. I can say you’re so much stronger than she ever was. I became her human punching bag. Between the mental and sometimes physical abuse. I celebrate his birthday even if it’s a single cupcake. I celebrate what we had. Yes I still cry and I believe crying is healthy. It’s almost been 26 years. I still have this emptiness only he can fill. That’s okay because it will always be his place in my heart. I miss him every day but I still remember his smile, his kindness towards everyone. That’s what I celebrate yes the 1st are the hardest. But with time the pain eases but never goes away. You’re brave strong and keep being there for those who need your strength. 🥰🤗 I’m proud of you.

I am so sorry you know this pain as well. I lost my little girl to cancer August of 2025 and this New Years gutted me because I lost the year that she was alive in. 💔

I can relate in the sense that the first New Year’s after my mother passed away, it was the most horrible holiday. For me, it was the thought of leaving her behind.
