when I don't know where to put something I put it with either family (hats go with other hats, scissors with other sharps/knives, etc) or coworkers (rain hat goes with rain coat, scissors used for sewing go with the other sewing supplies, charger for the flashlight goes with the same drawer with the flashlight). I usually pick coworkers because it makes more sense for my ADHD brain.
