This video is not telling the truth in ways. The term Arya was actually used by Indo- peoples not by the Yamnaya or all Proto-Indo-Europeans. It does not make sense to say that all Proto-European groups called themselves Arya. This is, like saying that the Proto-Indo-Europeans called themselves Germanic or Celtic or Slavic. It is just not true. The video is wrong when it says that all PIE groups used the term Arya to refer to themselves. The term Arya was used by Indo- peoples and that is a fact. Arya was the name of a group that shared a culture and language it was not, about the color of their skin. The idea that we only know this because the Indo-Iranians wrote it down is not a point. Just because the Indo-Iranians kept records it does not mean that other groups used the term Arya in the way. The term Arya is what the Indo-Iranians called their group but that does not mean everyone else used that term to refer to them. Yes, the Indo-Iranians (or Proto-Indo-Iranians) may have had lighter features on average, but that does not mean everyone with lighter skin or eyes is Aryan. The Proto-Indo-Iranians lived in Central Asia, where they mixed with local populations like the BMAC culture. Arya was about community and identity, and it cannot be projected onto all Europeans or Northern peoples.

Why do people think Europe and Iranic-Indians have common languages duh? Aryans were people from the Corded-Ware culture, the same culture that produced Germanic and Slavic people. Aryans weren't Yamnaya, they were Corded Ware. Yamnaya were proto-indo-Europeans that went to Europe and mixed with locals Europeans, imposed their language and produced cultures like Corded Ware and Bell Beaker, which gave Germanics, Balto-Slavics, Celtics, Italics and Indo-Iranians (Aryans).
