Venezuelan here, we know what the us wants is our oil, the citizens haven't had control over that in years anyway since maduro (a dictator some of yall r defending btw) has sold it to more problematic countries like russia and Cuba, and much more. We don't like Trump either, but at least he did what it had to happen years ago. We are just happy that the head of the snake is finally out of our country, this gives us hope for a better future and that's it.

Why are people having a hard time understanding why Americans are freaking out? We don’t want a dictator. A president that can commit acts of war without permission and not receive any consequence is another step in the direction of having a dictator. Multiple people who’ve lived under dictatorships and multiple scholars have pointed out that a lot of what Trump does was done by dictators before they became dictators. Being aware helps prevent that. Please wake up bro.

THANK YOU FROM A VENEZUELAN! 👏 People don’t understand we Venezuelans don’t have the luxury of choosing who is going to intervene against our oppressor. We have been asking for international help for years and the US happened to act first. My dad was kidnapped by this dictator and he was just a regular citizen. He’s now in a torture center people don’t realize that will happen yesterday he is giving us the hope we haven’t had in over two decades. Me and my family fled from Venezuela to the states because of all this years ago. I don’t like trump at all but people saying “from one dictator to another, things will be worst under trump, Venezuelans will regret cheering for this” are so spoiled and out of touch. In Venezuela, you speak out against maduro and you disappear forever while your family starves and dies from basic sickness. If things get to the average U.S. citizen’s version of suffering, THATS STILL SO MUCH BETTER THAN HOW THINGS WERE, HOW COULD IT BE WORSE
