It’s all about communication and there is such a disconnect in a lot of relationships nowadays when it comes to proper communication. Me and my husband both work we both take part in chores, but we have different chores that we do.

I think before you move in with someone you should have a conversation and each lay out all the concerns and expectations so this doesn’t become a problem. Even if you’ve been in a relationship for a time living with someone is a completely different experience.

How I feel in this scenario is if both people are working trying to make ends meet and its a husband and wife they should work together to accomplish the house goals, especially with modern day technology, making meals is pretty easy. Doing laundry is literally adding soap, adding the clothes pressing a few buttons walking away. and as for house cleaning, I mean, just you each tackle a room together. Hey, you get the bathroom, I'll get the front room. And you've just accomplished it as a team. It will be done so much more efficiently and fast and then one person is not carrying the burden.
