go back to the careers panel and look for a business career with a lil green icon next to it. the degree jobs are listed separately from their base careers. if that's not the problem then idk what to tell you. 🤷♂️

so you have to wait until you get the degree, either go to the graduation or skip it and it will appear in your inventory the next day after the graduation. then you go into the career panel and where it has inventory with a green thingy on the side is where you’ll get a bonus when you select that business career!

You gotta pick a different career that corresponds with the major. My sims graduated and start at level 8 in their career making over. 300 an hour

in the sims 3 they pause your age progression while you're at university so now I always cheat my age back down after I graduate bc I'm not wasting half my young adulthood on ts

you need to wait a bit after the degree to be able to apply for one of the branches w/ a signing bonus — i can’t remember the exact length of time after but it shouldn’t be more than 1-2 days 😭

I think promotion defaults for degree actually come up under the branch names in the list so you can opt for the business career from the start or further down you should see “management” or “investor” / that will default to the right branch :)

Bro my sims finished her degree I physics and she got a job as a scientist start pay as around like $200 hr, she’s not a manager yet but she’s atleast a laboratory leader I guess 😭
